In light of the earthquake that has caused unimaginable devastation to an already poor country, many Christians are rightly considering how they can help. Let me suggest two ways you can help. (1) Pray. Even if you can't give of your time or money, you are capable of praying. And praying, according to the teachings of the Bible, have kingdom value. Prayer makes a difference. (2) If you can give, then give as your able. My church community--Crosspoint Community Church--has partnered with an organization called the "Christian & Missionary Alliance" (C&MA) that had people in Haiti before the earthquake occurred. Our giving, then, goes directly to people who can ensure that any and all resources benefit the people of Haiti immediately. They are committed to the people of Haiti and meeting their needs during this time of crisis--clean water, emergency shelter, medical aid, and other basic necessities. If you would like to give with the assurance that your giving will be of true benefit, take a look at the Crosspoint website for details (www.crosspointwi.com).
